Trip Types

While fishing in the Florida Keys there are a number of different options; reef fishing, wreck fishing, bay fishing and offshore fishing.

Reef/Wreck: Reef and Wreck Fishing Trips, where you can fish for yellowtail snapper, mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, grouper, amberjacks, kingfish, mackerel and  sailfish.

Offshore:  When we're offshore we utilizes a few types of fishing techniques; trolling, jigging, deep dropping and sight fishing.

During the months from May thru August we typically have calmer seas that allow for the longer runs.  Options include a trip to the hump to target Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, Wahoo and the occasional Marlin.  The species do change with the seasons, verify with the Captain if you have a specific target species in mind.

Deep Dropping: we typically put the deep drop gear on the boat when we head offshore.  We use electric reels and fish on the bottom anywhere from 500’-1000’. This style of fishing can yield highly desired eating fish such as Grouper, Tilefish, Barrel fish, Queen Snapper, Blackbelly Rosefish and more!

Sightseeing:  Nothing beats a leisurely boat cruise in the Florida Keys.  Seeing the Seven Mile, Bahia Honda and Long Key Bridges by water is an awesome site.  We can tour the canals and see some of the homes, stop at one of the sand bars and just enjoy a great day in the Keys.
